What is EKOKIT?
Owning a sustainable home has never been more affordable.
EKOKIT is a range of self-build eco houses that have been specifically designed to be flexible, sustainable and within the price reach of ordinary New Zealanders.
EKOKIT homes can be built anywhere in New Zealand, under the supervision of a Licensed Building Practitioner. If you don't wish to manage your EKOKIT build yourself, your EKOKIT is also available as a complete finished home. Contact us to find out more about this option.
About the designs...
With a range of designs to choose from, you will easily find the right home to suit your site, needs and budget, and you can rest assured that all EKOKIT designs are based on passive solar principles, are thermally and water efficient and incorporate safe, healthy building materials.
The designs are extremely flexible, including innovative modular options that allow you to start off small and grow your home at a later date as your needs change.
How does it work?
Self-Managed
We can deliver the EKOKIT of your choice, and instructions to any Licensed Building Practioner in New Zealand. You arrange the contract with the builder, and manage the build process yourself.
Fully Managed
You give us your specifications, and we deliver your fully built home. We contract with local Master or Certified builders, and manage the project on your behalf. There is a fee of 10-15% of the contract price for this service.
